Sci-fi Stardew Valley Autonomica smashes its Kickstarter goal in under 24 hours

Autonomica, an sci-fi sandbox that channels Stardew Valley and Palworld, has beaten its funding goal with nearly a month to go

The developer of Autonomica should be very, very happy right now. This sci-fi sandbox survival game launched on Kickstarter yesterday, and it's already smashed through its funding goal. With nearly a month left, the dev's biggest problem could be coming up with new stretch goals.

Ever wonder what you'd get if you combined Stardew Valley and Palworld? The answer is survival game, seems to be going for.

Crytivo describes it as "An open-world survival game inspired by solarpunk aesthetics driven by farming and automation, exploration, and futuristic tech". Ethical issues aside, one of the most satisfying parts of Palworld is just automating the heck out of everything, so we're absolutely on board.

And, going by the game's Kickstarter performance, so is everyone else. Autonomica's Kickstarter was launched with a target of $170,000 and now, barely a day later, it's reached nearly $270,000. Kickstarters tend to slow down over time but we wouldn't be surprised if it hit $1m.

Crytivo has been stunned by the response to Autonomica, remarking that "We had no idea how many of you would show up this strong, and we're incredibly grateful to have you on this journey with us." The developer has already started in on new stretch goals, and backers have just unlocked modular aquariums.

Going by the trailer, which you can watch above, the game looks absolutely gorgeous and will feature a variety of weather, too. You'll be able to interact with and even romance NPCs as you explore the island archipelago. It was originally known as Farm Folks, but Autonomica sounds much cooler.

Crytivo is aiming to release the game in October 2026, though that could be subject to change. If Autonomica seems right up your alley, you can back it on farming games.
