F1 25 system requirements

Here are the EA Sports F1 25 minimum and recommended specs for playing on both PC and VR, as well as the gaming PC specs for ray tracing.

The F1 25 system requirements cover a wide range of hardware, from older budget GeForce GTX systems to the latest ray tracing GPUs.  Whether you plan to enjoy the game with a standard controller or in VR, we have all the details of specs your gaming PC will need to meet in order to play the game.

You won't need to spend a lot of money on the best F1 25 settings guide, where we talk you through the ideal setup for the best frame rates.

Here are the F1 25 system requirements:

U Intel Core i5 6400
AMD Ryzen 3 1200
Intel Core i5 9600K
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

AMD Radeon RX 6600XT

VRAM At least 6GB At least 8GB
Storage 100GB 100GB

The F1 25 minimum requirements are more or less the same as last year's game. You'll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 570, or Intel Arc A380 GPU paired with an Intel Core i5 6400 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 U. You will need at least 6GB of VRAM, though, so the GTX 1060 3GB isn't covered.

You'll also only need 8GB of RAM, a nice relief for those still using older gaming PCs and laptops that haven't made the jump to 16GB just yet. Regardless, upgrading to some of the best gaming RAM is fairly cheap and an easy carry out.

As for the F1 25 recommended specs, you'll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, or Intel Arc A580 paired with an Intel Core i5 9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X. The RAM requirements also double here to 16GB.

If you want to play with ray tracing enabled, the GPU specs change at each level. You'll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT for minimum, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 for recommended. The Intel cards stay the same for standard and ray tracing gameplay across both tiers.

Here are the F1 25 VR system requirements:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 or later Windows 10 or later
U Intel Core i5 9600K
AMD Ryzen 2600X
Intel Core i5 9600K
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
AMD Radeon RX 590
Intel Arc A380
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Intel Arc A580
VRAM At least 6GB At least 8GB
Storage 100GB 100GB
RAM 8GB 16GB

While the F1 25 VR specs don't deviate massively from the base set, the Steam store page does list the following limited selection of headsets as being ed:

  • Meta Quest 2 and 3
  • Oculus Rift S
  • HTC Cosmos
  • HTC Vive Pro
  • Valve Index
  • HP Reverb G2

Finally, the F1 25 size is 100GB, with no requirement for an SSD listed at any tier. Regardless, we still recommend buying the best SSD you can afford, so your system can deal with the sometimes egregious loading times the F1 games produce.
