In a move that goes against the grain, Everspace 2 developer Rockfish Games has slashed the price of its Wrath of the Ancients expansion by $5, and has also permanently discounted this space-shooter's existing expansion.
an eerie new alien ship. But in a surprise move, Rockfish Games has reduced its price, because "Everything is getting more expensive".
"With events happening in the world, it seems like everything is getting more expensive and there's a lot of uncertainty in general. You feel it, we feel it, and all those marketing emails we've all been hammered with talking about prices going up certainly don't help," Rockfish said on Steam.
To that end, Everspace 2: Wrath of the Ancients will be priced at $24.99 / £19.99 instead of $29.99 / £24.99. The current expansion, Titans, has dropped from $14.99 / £12.99 to $11.99 / £9.99.
Rockfish has also anticipated the inevitable questions, stating that, "Now before anyone gets the wrong idea, no content has been cut—we're in the middle of our final polish and bug fixing phase ahead of release."
