In the US, you can rent and buy A Minecraft Movie on Amazon Prime, AppleTV, and Fandango at Home, among others. According to pre-order details on Amazon Prime, the movie costs $24.99 to buy. There is currently no price for rental, but we'll update this guide once we know more.
In the UK, you can currently pre-order A Minecraft Movie on Amazon Prime for £19.99. Again, there is no rental price, but we'll keep an eye on it and any other UK streaming platforms.
The physical version of the movie is set for release on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, and the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD are all available to pre-order now.

Our best estimate is that A Minecraft Movie will be available to stream for free sometime in 2026 at the earliest.

- "I… Am Steve!" – Since an early trailer, Jack Black introducing himself as Minecraft's iconic aqua-shirted Steve has become as legendary as the character and actor themselves, and you can in with his confident statement during the movie.
- "Flint and Steel!" – Older fans already know Jack Black's unique brand of comedy, and A Minecraft Movie basically sees him playing himself cosplaying as Minecraft's Steve. This is no more apparent than when he announces his lighting of a Nether Portal with "Flint and steeeeel!"
- Chicken Jockey! – Perhaps the most obvious moment of mayhem, and the one that lent its name to A Minecraft Movie's fowl phenomena, is when a baby zombie drops on the back of a chicken in a wrestling scene starring Jason Momoa's Garrett Garrison. Here, it's up to you whether you whoop, holler, throw your film-night snack in the air, or, um, lift a real-life chicken above your head. We wouldn't recommend the latter.
- Lava Chicken – This is our favorite. Again, old school Black fans will be well aware of his musical prowess, and the Tenacious D maestro now holds the record for the shortest ever Billboard number one single thanks to A Minecraft Movie's 34-second-long 'Lava Chicken'. Yeah, it's catchy as hell.
