Who are all the Monster Hunter Wilds characters? We already know some of the characters we'll meet in the Monster Hunter game, but now we'll be able to bring some of them into battle thanks to the new Hunter System. Here's what to expect from the characters and their role in the story and aiding you in the Forbidden Lands.

Monster Hunter Wilds characters
While Monster Hunter Rise introduced Palamutes, Wilds gives us the Seikret. These bird-like dinosaurs have an astonishing sense of smell and come with satchel pouches to help hunters keep alternative weapons to hand. They also hold slings, which return from Monster Hunter World. You can now fire them while riding your Seikret. Though the Seikrets are a great companion for your time in Wilds, here are the characters that you'll meet along the way.
Hunter
You play as Hunter and you're assigned to the Forbidden Lands Research Commission to help investigate this unexplored region.
Palico
In addition to the Hunter, you also have a faithful Palico friend to accompany you on each hunt.
Alma
Like every Monster Hunter game in the past, there is a point of for starting hunts and a few other NPCs to help you out in the hub area. Alma is your handler this time around, assisting you with encyclopedic knowledge about the creatures in the area.
Gemma
You also have Gemma, your local blacksmith, who handles all weapon and armor requests, provided you have the parts.
Nata
There is also a mysterious boy named Nata who will you on your adventure, though it's not clear what his role in the story is yet.
Olivia
The latest trailer also introduced the Hunter system, so if you're playing solo, you can call in aid from NPCs, one of which is Olivia, a hammer-wielding member of the Hunter's Guild who s the Research Commission, and her Palico, Athos.
Fabius
A leader of the Hunter's Guild and foudner of the Forbidden Lands Research Commission, he is a former hunter, and set to be a major character.
Werner
Part of the Astrum unit led by renowned hunter, Olivia, Werner is the unit's smithy and specializes in physics and engineering, specifically weapon technology.
Erik
Olivia's handler in the Astrum unit, Erik is a biologist and renowned for their work throughout academia.
