How to unlock Artifacts
You can unlock Risk of Rain 2 Artifacts at the Compound Generator in Sky Meadow, the fifth stage that appears in each run. The terminal can be found right at the bottom of the level, so as soon as you set foot in the realm, ignore all enemies and look for a massive hole in the floor and descend to the island below.
The Compound Generator consists of a 3×3 grid and a series of switches. Input any Risk of Rain 2 Artifact code above and interact with the laptop to submit the code and open the Artifact Portal leading to Bulwark's Ambry.
Bulwark's Ambry boss fight
You can only input one Risk of Rain 2 Artifact code at a time, which means that you'll have to visit Bulwark's Ambry 18 times and defeat the Artifact Reliquary boss if you want to unlock them all. It's not a particularly hard fight, but it's best to come prepared beforehand.
The Artifact Reliquary remains in a stationary position at the center of the map, shooting slow but deadly energy beams at you for the duration of the fight. It's also immune to standard attacks, so the strategy here is to defeat the enemies that spawn during the battle. These enemies drop Artifact Keys which you can then use on the boss to damage it.
We recommend roaming around the map first before activating the first key acquire money, purchase chests, and heal as you fight against the enemy horde. Whether you're playing solo or online, selecting a character that can fly or dash such as the Risk of Rain 2 Artificer or the Mercenary can help you avoid pits and projectiles.
